We’ve never done anything like this before. We gave up our homes, most of our possessions, and our jobs to sink our life savings into living like drifters on a year-long trip that will take us through most of Europe and Asia.

We hope this site will provide some value or entertainment to those who might be considering an adventure like ours, those who have already undertaken one, or those who just like to dream about what it could be like.

LAURA: Opening the door this morning from our air conditioned bedroom to the open-air hallway, I was hit with a blast of heat and humidity so strong it took my breath away. At 9:30 it was already approaching 30 degrees and the humidity was so high that in the six steps it took me to walk to the washroom I was already drenched in sweat...

LAURA: Stepping off the airplane and into the afternoon heat of Kuala Lumpur I immediately felt giddy. We're finally back into a country where everything looks, feels, smells, and tastes different.

Our hostel is nice, which was a happy relief after the hotel snafu in Seoul, and our dinner was delicious...
